When I was searching for the perfect restaurant near IFC Mall to celebrate a family milestone, WOOHANA Yeouido immediately caught my attention. What drew me in was the unique combination of Hanwoo omakase and completely private dining rooms—exactly what I needed for a relaxed meal with my child. From the food to the service and atmosphere, this turned out to be one of the most satisfying dining experiences we've had in Seoul.

WOOHANA Yeouido is located on the first floor of the NH Nonghyup Capital Building on Gukjegeumyung-ro 8-gil in Yeongdeungpo-gu. The location is incredibly convenient—it's a short walk from both IFC Mall and The Hyundai Seoul, and accessible from both Yeouido Station and Saetgang Station. As soon as you enter through the main entrance, you're greeted by a striking interior design that resembles a mysterious cave entrance.

Parking is available in the building's garage with two hours of complimentary validation. Keep in mind that exceeding the two-hour limit can get expensive, so plan your meal accordingly. The restaurant is open from 11 AM to 10 PM, with a break time from 3 PM to 5 PM.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by our dedicated manager, and I was impressed to find that children's tableware had already been set up at our table. Every single seat in the restaurant is in a private room, which perfectly explains why WOOHANA Yeouido is such a sought-after private room Korean restaurant. Once we entered our room, the soft lighting and pristine table setting created an immediately luxurious atmosphere.

The semi-open kitchen design allows you to catch glimpses of the chefs at work, which adds a sense of trust and transparency. Inside the room, there was absolutely no outside noise—we could focus entirely on our conversation and the meal. Whether you're planning a date night, engagement dinner, business dinner, or family gathering, this space works beautifully. Wine lovers will also appreciate that the restaurant operates as a corkage-free venue.

The menu is divided into lunch and dinner services, with courses ranging from A to C. The price and composition vary based on the amount of Hanwoo beef included. We chose the Dinner B course. After ordering, our manager brought out the main ingredients that would be used in our meal—a theatrical touch that really built anticipation.

We were offered a choice of welcome drink: sparkling wine or grape juice. Since we had our child with us, we opted for the juice. Because we had mentioned it was a special occasion, the restaurant also provided a complimentary Polaroid photo and dessert lettering service, which made the experience feel even more memorable.

The first dish was a chestnut sweet potato porridge. Smooth and nutty, it gently warmed the palate and set the tone for what was to come. The flavor was so good that I could have easily eaten another bowl.

Next came WOOHANA's four-bite appetizer, featuring beef tartare brioche, lobster, sea bream, and Hanwoo tempura. The plating was stunning—almost like a work of art—and each bite delivered a harmonious blend of flavors. The soft texture of the beef tartare brioche and the springy lobster were particularly memorable.

The tuna with uni combined tuna belly and pickled baby cabbage with a yuzu sauce. While uni can be polarizing, the sweetness of the pickled cabbage balanced it beautifully. The abalone with braised radish was served with zucchini, and the abalone had a wonderfully chewy yet tender texture.

The grilled tilefish was my child's favorite dish of the entire course. The flesh melted on the tongue, and the accompanying sauce was absolutely divine. The Hanwoo sukiyaki felt like another masterpiece—rich, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying. At that moment, I was truly glad we had chosen the dinner course.

The Hanwoo dish topped with caviar featured tofu and a cream sauce that melted luxuriously in the mouth. The beef's natural juices, the richness of the cream, and the umami punch of caviar created perfect harmony.

The yukjeot noodles were served cold rather than in a warm broth. The fermented fish flavor can be an acquired taste, but as a palate cleanser before the grilled meat course, it was refreshing and clean. However, my child wasn't a fan of the cold noodles.

The main event arrived: the individual brazier grill. Hanwoo chuck flap tail and assorted vegetables were set up with a personal brazier, delivered partially cooked so we could finish them to our liking. The brazier ran hotter than expected, so the food cooked quickly.

The Hanwoo chuck flap tail was incredibly tender. I was genuinely surprised by how soft and juicy this cut can be. It practically melted in the mouth, and I could really appreciate why Korean beef omakase at WOOHANA Yeouido stands out—the quality of the Hanwoo is exceptional.

The banchan set included three side dishes, seaweed soup, and rice. Even the seaweed soup contained Hanwoo, giving it a deep, rich flavor. Each side dish was carefully prepared, showcasing the care and precision of Korean cuisine.

Dessert consisted of cream cheese ice cream and lime basil sorbet. The combination seemed unusual at first, but the sweet-tart flavor quickly became addictive. While the lettering on the dessert plate can't be customized, it was more than enough to set a celebratory mood.

What really moved me was the level of service. We had ordered a two-person course, and even though we hadn't explicitly mentioned we'd be sharing with our child, the manager thoughtfully portioned out a separate serving for them. These small acts of consideration elevated the entire dining experience.

Our two-hour meal flew by faster than expected. My child honestly said, "The dishes with beef were the best," and I have to agree—the Hanwoo chuck flap tail and sukiyaki remain the most memorable. Days later, I can still recall how that beef melted on my tongue.

We usually visit places like this just as a couple, but bringing our child this time made it even more meaningful. The private room setup meant we didn't have to worry about disturbing others, and it's absolutely a place I'd recommend for family dining. The value for money is excellent given the quality.

WOOHANA Yeouido is somewhere I'd gladly bring my parents. If you're looking to create special memories with loved ones on a meaningful occasion, I highly recommend making a reservation.
